A street musician was interrupted mid-song by the pop star whose music he was singing.
It’s the best thing that can happen to a street musician short of a $20 bill. A busker was playing mid-80s hit “Smalltown Boy” by Bronski Beat and had attracted a small audience on a Berlin sidewalk. YouTuber Onkel Bernis Welt had their phone out to record the moment when Jimmy Somerville, who originated the song, happened to walk by with his dog and jumped in mid-song. It’s a charmingly serendipitous moment, but unfortunately the video cuts off before we get to see if Somerville tips him. (by Shira Rachel Danan)
